Caveau is a private notebook for the wine you keep. You type every bottle, every tasting note and every price yourself, and the app can typeset that record into a finished PDF edition. There is no account, no library of wine data and no advice. By using Caveau you agree to the terms below.
Caveau records the bottles you own and the tastings you log, and it assembles that record into a cellar and tasting edition — a multi-page PDF laid out on your device.
Caveau is not a wine database, a valuation service, a merchant, a marketplace or an advisory service. It never identifies a wine from a photograph, never estimates a market price, never suggests a pairing and never tells you when to drink a bottle.
Everything inside the app comes from you: bottle names, regions, quantities, storage locations, the price you paid and its currency, drinking windows, personal scores out of 100 and tasting notes. Caveau does not correct, complete or reinterpret what you typed.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your records. Amounts are kept per bottle in the currency you chose and are never added together across currencies.
Compiling an edition is the app's one paid action. It is paid for with Folios, which are consumable in-app credits bought through the App Store.
When you confirm a build, Caveau freezes a snapshot: the bottles you selected, the number of bottles recorded at that moment, the tasting notes that fall inside the date range you set, and the metadata panels you switched on.
That snapshot is what the PDF contains. Later edits to a bottle, later tastings, or deleting the source bottles do not change an edition that already exists. Unfinished tasting drafts are never printed.
All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Caveau never sees or stores your card details. The price shown in the shop is the price Apple returns for your account and may vary by region and over time.
Billing, payment problems and refund requests are handled by Apple under the App Store terms and Apple's refund policy. Caveau cannot issue a refund itself.
Your records, your photographs and your editions belong to you. Caveau keeps them in the app's own storage on this iPhone and does not upload them anywhere. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.
Caveau is provided as-is and may change between versions: features can be added, adjusted or removed, and the edition layout may be revised. Your stored editions stay readable as PDF files even if the layout engine changes in a later version.
Nothing in Caveau is wine advice, investment advice, a valuation or a guarantee of quality,
provenance or condition. Any drinking window in the app is a date you entered yourself. Any score
in the app is your own subjective rating. Not Rated means exactly that and is never
treated as zero.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Caveau is provided without warranties of any kind, and the developer is not liable for lost records, lost photographs, lost editions or lost Folios resulting from deleting the app, clearing its data, a device failure or a build that did not complete. Please keep your own copy of any edition you care about by sharing it out of the app.
You can leave at any time with Log Out, which returns you to the welcome screen and keeps your data. Delete Account removes every bottle record, tasting note, photo, stored edition and remaining Folio from this iPhone. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
